Student Program

From the outset, students at Conway are provided with challenging assignments, and plenty of opportunity to hone their skills and experience. Our students are able to make themselves at home in the practice of law by meeting with clients, participating in legal strategy sessions and attending proceedings. We have an open-door policy and, as a student, you become a true member of our firm. We encourage students to take part in every area of our practices and to take hands-on responsibility for their files. We look for candidates who are self-motivated, resourceful, are willing to learn and have a strong sense of responsibility to our firm and our clients.

As we are advocates and advisors in both official languages, bilingualism is an asset.

Each student is assigned a mentor at the beginning of his or her articling to help manage work load, ensure a well-rounded experience and answer the many questions, both professional and personal, that arise.

The short time frame for summer students does not allow for exposure to all aspects of our practice, but we ensure that they are involved in many diverse aspects of litigation.
