The Conway team knows international trade.

We regularly advise and represent clients on international trade issues involving the World Trade Organization, North American Free Trade Agreement and Agreement on Internal Trade. We have acted in investor trade dispute proceedings under Chapter 11 of the North American Free Trade Agreement, in government-to-government disputes under Chapter 20, as well as trade disputes under Chapters 18 and 19.

Our litigators appear as counsel in anti-dumping, countervail and customs cases before the Canadian International Trade Tribunal, and represent clients in customs and importation matters involving the Canadian Border Services Agency and Foreign Affairs.

We advise corporate clients in respect of procurement matters, including responding to requests for proposal, defending or contesting awards of contracts and acting in disputes that arise during the performance of the contract either with the owner of the project or with sub-contractors.

In respect of trade negotiations, we advise and represent clients in matters involving the World Trade Organization, the Agreement on Internal Trade and the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
